Re: I am impressed with one thing about some of you

(snip)
Now, for my next question...if you could wave a magic wand and be
changed into a person of any race/breed, would you have any
preferences? Or, do you have a preference for one, or some
races/breeds over others, when it comes to being one of them, all
the way?

Hi Gordon,

Interesting question. If I could wave a magic wand, I'd ask for
something else besides changing my color. I'd ask for a pink mustang.
:) No, seriously. I don't care what color I am, as long as I am me on
the inside. I wouldn't want to be anyone else. All ups and downs
included, and believe me there have been plenty of downs, but
thankfully there have been enough ups to make life worth living. :)

I don't know that I'd want to be black or any other color, though,
because of all the hatred they'd have to put up with. I can't stand
watching it from my side of the rainbow, let alone living it. All the
prejudice, the history... it's sad. But it's also bad enough being
white and knowing that my forefathers were part of the discrimation and
slave ownership.

Love,

Don't be ashamed to be white, look at all the great achievements of your
race, since the days of Greece and Rome, right through European history, and
later around the world. Yes, we made some very sad mistakes, but look what
we have given the peoples of the world.
"White" includes Celt, and the Nordic and Mediterranean peoples, as well as
Anglo-Saxon. Anyway, most people nowadays don't use the term white.

Now we know more about other folks on this planet, and can learn from their
great civilizations too. All races have treasures and histories to share,
and after all,
we are all one species.

And sitting on a beach plastered in suntan lotion, I sometimes wonder what
is so good about white skin!
