Michael & Guests sing for Gulf Coast relief.

We're excited to announce that Michael has recorded Joseph Arthur's song, In 
the Sun , for Gulf Coast relief.  Six different versions of the song have 
been complied as an EP and will be made available as an iTunes exclusive on 
February 5th (this Sunday) at 11pm ET. The EP features guest appearances 
from some of Michael's friends including James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), 
Chris Martin (Coldplay), and Joseph Arthur, and includes a special mix by 
Justin Timberlake and Will.I.Am (Black Eyed Peas). All proceeds from the 
song will aid Mercy Corps in their continuing efforts to respond to needs 
along the Gulf Coast.

PETER STAYS BUSY...

The music collective/cabal known as The Minus 5 , headed up by mastermind 
Seattle pop/punk godfather Scott McCaughey is back with a new studio album 
on Yep Roc called The Minus 5 (a.k.a. The Gun Album ). The Five lineup on 
this record also includes messers Peter Buck, John Ramberg and Bill Rieflin 
(who has drummed with R.E.M. of late); The Minus 5 consists of two tracks 
recorded in Chicago with Wilco and features guest appearances by John Wesley 
Harding, Kelly Hogan, Morgan Fisher (Mott), Sean Nelson (Harvey Danger/Long 
Winters), and Decembrists members Colin Meloy and John Moen.
