HA! I did exactly the same thing. Got a few cds in 96 or 97 I think
and didn't listen to them properly until late '98 this was not long
after they'd actually been in the uk and around europe and they
haven't ben back since. Doh! But they got to me so much that after the
hiatus I got on a plane and saw them twice and the more I think about
it the more I really want to go to festi 8. Flights are cheap. Might
still make it.

Back to the topic. My first show was Nassau feb 28th 2003. I'd say
check that out just for the crowd reaction when they play Destiny
Unbound ( incidentally I admit I had no idea what I was hearing or how
significant this bust out was at the time). Also from the live phish
series I think it's no: 11 or 12, I don't know without looking at the
date, there's a Mike's Song that blows my mind every time. 20 mins or
so of pure bliss.

Hey all, sorry, I didn't mean to contribute to taking this thread on distant tangents, I'm glad you guys brought it back.

I just wanted to say I agree with Rob, get thee to Indio, you'll be forever glad you did...that goes for you to Rob, if you can swing it, ya gotta go for it.

I've heard rumors (I mean rumours) about a spring tour in your neck of the woods though, so you could be the lucky one next year. But a festival is the most fun you can have with this band, its like tour without the hassle of travel between shows. Plus the atmosphere and the feeling of being at a private party...with your closest 80,000 phriends.

Whoo-hoo! I hope you guys make it.
