a few episodes ago i was afraid it was all going to be in hurley's
head, like that show st. elsewhere or whatever it was.
i don't think the Others really have any idea. they are either part of
the experiment, knowingly or unknowingly, or just other stranded
people. with teases about magnets, wanting children, and psychic
powers, i doubt its all pointless. however, having just seen "an
american haunting" the idea of a poltergiest is entirely plausible.
physical manifestations of illness or ill-will, whether natural or
supernatural.
after last night's episode, i would say the Others are part of the
Dharma Initiative.
the island as magus, i found doubtful. keep in mind, before the hatch,
we thought the island was trying to protect itself. but after we heard
of Dharma Initiative, they make more sense to be pulling the strings.
but who is pulling their strings?
its hard to say that the island and all that happens is a test. how
does that explain charlie's dreams about aaron and claire? or mr.
ecko's dream with annalucia? or locke's dream with ecko's brother?
although, i guess someone could claim its electromagnetic radiation or
something.
anyway, can't wait for next week.
