f you take on about 4 tables an hour (which is pretty much the minimum
for a decent server) and each one leaves you on average $3 (which I
think is well below the average), that's 12 bucks an hour plus the >
$2.13 and not claim even close to half of that on taxes.
yeah, I've been working in restaurants my entire life, never as a
server though. However when I'm elbow deep in soapy water nothing makes
me angrier than to hear a server complain about "only" making 70
dollars on a four hour shift. For me four hours of dishing equals 30
dollars before taxes. And not to sound conceited, but I'll concede that
I am, but serving food to inconsiderate customers is always better than
cleaning up after inconsiderate servers.
