Apologize? That is rich, H21. You seem to forget who started this
string in the first place, and with malicious intent, evidently. Or
was your initial post meant in some way not to provoke those who
admire Tucker? You simply reaped that which you sowed, thus your
ruffled feathers and hurt feelings are largely self-inflicted. As for
my students, yes, some do write with the same vacuity manifest in your
posts, most do not.

Thank you, perfesser. I ask again: Why do you read my posts?
Hyena21

My dear H21 (I like the switch, actually, because I have pleasant
memories of the city bearing that name, as well as of the great
baritone Mario Ancona, both of which can now be separated from you, or
rather -- and giving you the benefit of the doubt -- from the persona
you choose to project).  When did anyone say or suggest that Tucker
was a God?  When have you ever said anything about him that wasn't
negative in the most absolute and unqualified sense?  So when you now
indignantly claim, "I never said nor implied that Tucker had no virtue
or merit," all I can do is recall Claude Rains famous line from
Casablanca, "I'm shocked, that's what I am, shocked."  As for reading
your posts, isn't it rather hard to avoid them?  Besides, they do have
the virtue of being short and never remotely tax the intellect; in
that sense, they are not unlike some of the papers my students write.

Prof. Frank A.>

How you do run on, Prof.

Your words: "these silly, empty> posts always and repeatedly suggest that the venerated tenor Richard

Tucker had no virtue or merit whatsoever.">

My words: "Rubbish, Frank. I never said nor implied that Tucker had no
virtue or
merit. That would be wrong, but I may have hinted that he isn't God."

I invite you to produce one example - just one - in which I even
hinted, let alone stated, that Tucker "had no virtue or merit
whatsover". I also invite you to apologize to me for your false and
reckless accusation. And by the way, I am not surprised to learn that
your students produce dross.
