and of many nations pass our way, and we must treasure what miracles
they performed on stage for so many years,and be grateful that they
chose opera as their life's endeavor.
� � � � � � � � � � � �Last evening I took a look at the la Scala 1948
poster given to me by Signor �"Francesco" Guarrera, as was then called
(Lord forbid they should think he was born in Philly) �as he appeared
in L'Amore de Tre Re and The Pearl Fishers. and I realized Frank had a
pretty good run, as did so many others noted above.

artists who sang their hearts out for our benefit.
