To use this song as it applies here:
If ever i would leave you, it wouldn't be in your lifetime....knowing
how you love me so.......CH
But that doesn't fit the tune, Charlie. And sad to say, you will
probably leave many of us in our life times, since we are considerably
younger than you are. How about this..
If ever I would leave you
I'd have to be in handcuffs
Even when in handcuffs, I'd still try to post
My nose to the keyboard, my tongue red as flame
Could still type a message, worthy of my name,
If ever I would leave you
The ten of you would miss me
How you'd do without me, I never would know
My elegant English, my rapier-like wit,
Your hidden affection, That you won't admit
And in the evenings when you seek me at the Met,
Would not my absence cause you unrestrained regret?
If ever I would leave you
It wouldn't be in season,
When the Met's in season, no reason to go
Oh no not in season, No not even for Paul,
No never will I leave you, at all.
Regards,
Paul.
