If radical Islam can claim they drove us out, then we lost.

The prescription for saving the most lives is straightforward - we all
convert to Islam.

Questions of the form "How many lives are you willing to sacrifice
for X?" are bogus emotional appeals. Did Lincoln sacrifice to many
lives to defeat the Confederacy? Did just the right number of people
die, or did Lincoln get a human death bargain?

If we accept defeat in Iraq, do you see the consequences as benign?

+ There is also a serious internal cost (for this nation), leaving everything

+ important cost. I'd be perfectly happy to be very agressive with Iran, or
+ with China (not militarily) or Russia, but we're playing in the wrong
+ sandbox.

There's a cost to staying in Iraq; there'll be a cost to being driven
out.

+ Surely you think that Bush's quick acknowledgement that he's going to go to
+ the Peking Olympics in 2008 is not a 'victory' for anything, do you?

I cringe when I hear the calls for a trade war with China. We can't
beat Al-Qaeda in Iraq, but bullying China will be no problem?
