Well, I don't know so much about now, when Domingo's career has clearly
entered its last twenty years and the repertoire's down to merely
forty-eight roles [ one even at score pitch ] but time was the lusty Latin
was considered a very touchy tamale on the litigation front, and had an army
of lawyers ready to pounce on all, um, er, "private" releases. I was
standing in the Strand MDC in London some fifteen or so years ago when a
small army of process servers materialised with some of Bow Street's finest
and proceede to clear the shelves of Snr. Domingo's "Aida" [ with IIRC
Arroyo ]
SJT, tending more to the simply practical than the merely personal....
