There, of course, you have me, at least in general principle, though in
specific practice ( and coming from an old print family myself : my father's
four brothers were the Mafia that ran the Fleet Street "chapels" ) I have to
say most hacks, unless they take violently against someone they're
interviewing, do their level best to be both accurate and reasonably fair.
It occurs to me, in all seriousness, to ask how good Morticia's English is
( because I've genuinely no idea ) and because I can sort of see how
problems of communication and interpretation could arise....
Anyway, if the news that Morticia Draculette's ex was a plumber were
put into her mouth, it's very likely she'd have sued the
into-the-mouth-putter.
