As always I bow (deeply) to legendary Mike's posts..but I just felt
that certain singers have in most ways "not been bettered' in certain
roles....but i agree..that there are many interpreters..and i do not
mean to belittle any of those not mentioned..but i still say the Callas
Norma (up to 1955) remains the standard..I do not know how Pasta
did..you have to ask Ed...Love Charlie
