I'd cuncur that the left does hold sway on this ng in terms of numbers
of posters.

The majority of people in the street generally do have a non-left
leaning view when it comes to law, order and security. After all, who
wants to be a victim of crime? Who wants to get on a train or a bus
with a threat they could be blown to bits? Who wants to open mail with
ricin contained inside?

At times of national danger (ie terrorism) it is necessary to tighten
up on certain laws to protect the general public. If this was not an
option, and a major incident occurs, you cannot then criticise the
authorities for not doing enough.

You cannot have it both ways
