I am trying to locate any commercial video production of the 1869 version of "Boris Godunov". I thought I had purchased the correct version (featuring Robert Lloyd) but it is the 1872 version.
Does anyone know if the 1869 version has ever been filmed?

1954 Alexander Pirogov film
Alexander Pirogov stars as Boris in this excellent Soviet film directed by Vera Stroyeva. There are massive sets, huge crowds, elaborate costumes and location scenes at the Kremlin, Moscow squares and monasteries. Georgy Nellep sings Dimitri, Maksim Mikhailov is Pimen, Aleksei Krivchenya is Varlaam, Ivan Kozlovsky is the Fool and Larissa Avdeyeva is Marina. Vasily Nebolsin conducts the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra and Chorus. N. Golovanov and Stroyeva wrote the screenplay and V. Nikolayev was cinematographer. Mosfilm. Color. 1961 Giorgio Tozzi video
Giorgio Tozzi stars as Boris in this NBC Opera Theatre production by Samuel Chotzinoff. Frank Poretta is Dimitri, Gloria Lane is Marina, Richard Cross is Pimen, Andrew McKinley is Prince Shuisky, Joan Caplan is the Nurse and Lee Cass is Rangoni. Peter Herman Adler conducts the Symphony of the Air Orchestra. The English translation is by John Gutman. Kirk Browning directed for TV. Black and white. In English. 120 minutes. Lyric Video.
1962 Jerome Hines video
Jerome Hines sings the role of Boris in an extended scene from the opera on the Voice of Firestone television program on Nov. 18, 1962. The excerpt begins with the introduction to the Coronation Scene and presents the Farewell and Death of Boris. The scenes are staged with sets and extras and Howard Mitchell conducts the orchestra. Yevgeny Nesterenko stars as Boris Godunov in this powerful Bolshoi Opera stage production with Boris Khaikin conducting the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra and Chorus. Vladislav Piavko is Dimitri the Pretender, Artur Eisen is Varlaam, Irina Arkipova is Marina, Valery Yaroslavtsev is Pimen, Galina Kalinina is Xenia and Aleksei Maslennikov is the Fool. 1980 Ruggero Raimondi in Paris
Ruggero Raimondi stars as Boris in this production at the Paris Opéra House. He is supported by contralto Zehava Gal, soprano Christine Barbaux and tenor Kenneth Riegel. Ruslan Raichev conducts the Paris Opéra Orchestra and Chorus. Color. In Russian. 180 minutes. Lyric video/Japanese laserdisc.
1987 Yevgeny Nesterenko at the Bolshoi
Yevgeny Nesterenko stars as Boris for the second time in this Bolshoi Opera production by Irina Morozova with Alexander Lazarev conducting the Bolshoi Opera Orchestra and Chorus. 1990 Andrei Tarkovsky video
Soviet film director Andrei Tarkovsky first staged this powerful production at Covent Garden in 1983. It was restaged at the Kirov Theater in St. Petersburg by Stephen Lawless with a mostly Russian cast. Robert Lloyd stars as Boris, Alexei Steblianko is Grigory, Olga Borodina is Marina, Alexander Morozov is Pimen, Vladmir Ognovenko is Varlaam, Sergei Leiferkus is Rangoni, Larissa Dyatkova is Fyodor and Yevgeny Boitsov is Shuisky. Nicholas Dvigoubsky designed the sets and costumes and Valery Gergiev conducts the Kirov Theater Orchestra and Chorus. Humphrey Burton directed the video. In Color. Russian basso Vladimir Matorin stars as Boris in this Russian film of the opera shot in Moscow by Olga Ivanova. The other singers include Sasha Belyaev, T. Yas'ko, V. Kirnos, L. Kurdiumova, V. Voinarovsky and A. Kicighin. V. Kolobov conducts the orchestra. Color. In Russian. 292 minutes. Italian video/ Japanese laserdisc.
