C-jo back in the hospital!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, pay attention.

Just got off the phone with her. She wasn't keeping food down for
some reason and lost 40 pounds. The kids took mom back to the
hospital. The doctors still haven't figured it out. But she is
eating something. They have her on so many drugs, she says. Naturally
they are giving her antidepressants, too. That's the medical world
today- they have everyone popping those things as a 'buffer'. She has
a leg brace, she has a cane (for swatting children, birds and FSMers),
and a wheel chair. It's all very hard on her, as can be expected.
People heal at different rates and you just do NOT bounce back from a
stroke in a couple of weeks (it took my father 3 months).

But it sounds like her kids are there for her, her family is there for
her... and I told her that MOONIE especially has been there for her
since he sent a DVD player to help ease her boredom. I suspect a
couple of other people contributed towards it, but I also suspect that
our Moonie paid for the bulk of it... and told her so.

She's frustrated. But I told her to laugh. It helps with the little
games the universe plays on us. And be patient. On one positive
note: SHE SOUNDS BETTER. Her speech isn't slurred. The Joisey accent
is there, but that she's stuck with. She has to fight... and like
many of us grownups who have endured grownup problems know: It is so
very hard to be a brave soldier all the time.

It helps when you have friends or family cheering you on. So I would
suggest another round of THINKING OF YOU CARDS... or in the case of
Jaquandor who never gets around to anything: A FIRST ROUND.

I also suggest that someone remind the bleeding hearts at FSM about
this... they were all so quick to be supportive... as quick as they
forgot about her so they could get on with bickering about the same
crap as always.

We lost Gummy.... we are not losing C-jo!

Send her cards and toys and parsnips.
