Re: FIREFLY

Sounds like a great way to make some new converts to the cause. Do you
know which episodes won't be shown? I think my personal favorites were
"Ariel," "Out of Gas," "War Stories," and "Objects in Space." But they
all build on the foundation laid by prior episodes, so I'd hate to see
a newcomer miss out on the total FIREFLY experience!

*****SPOILER WARNING********

ARIEL was the episode that convinced me this series was something
special. I watched all of the episodes during its network run and
already loved the show up to that point, but there were a couple of
character moments in this episode that went into territory usually
avoided by this type of show.

One, Jayne actually sold out River and Simon. As likeable as Jayne was
(is), this put a dramatic exclamation point on his mercenary nature.
We'd never completely trust him again. Most TV series of this kind
would never have allowed a major "good" character to do this, instead
forcing him to have a last minute change of heart.

Two, I thought for sure that Mal was going to eject Jayne from the
airlock at the end. If this had been a different show, odds are you
would never have really believed the "hero" capable of such a cold
execution. But I was on the edge of my seat, thinking he was really
going to do it.

After that, I knew I'd follow this show anywhere.
