The Trumpet of the Lord Evangelistic Association does not allow for our
critics to determine what events that we do or do not minister with the
Lord's Horns. We at TTOTLEM have nothing to prove. We do not play the
trumpet just to be good per se, and we do not play the Lord's Horns
just to hit loud or high notes. If you happen to be at a scheduled TOTL
performance, and the Lord happens to lead me to shout loud and high
notes, then you will have a chance to hear them. We play the horns to
enter into true Davidic worship, not to just hit high notes, and we
will hopefully soon change the www.trumpetofthelord.com website to
reflect this. Some of the venues that we minister at are not well
suited for loud or high notes, as the room that we play in sometimes
are just too small for extreme mega loud and high notes, and loud and
high notes would NOT add to worship. We seek true worship, not chances
to play the trumpet, I know perhaps you do not understand this, and at
times when I enter Davidic worship I do not even play the trumpet at
all. Often we use softer horns these days such as the flugelhorn,
mellophone and trombone, and often we use mutes. We can not always
offer mega loud extreme high notes when we minister. Events, such as
when we play a wedding or when I play the national anthem, are not well
suited for playing high notes. If you invite me to play at a wedding or
to play the national anthem, do not come expecting high notes. At
TTOTLEM we are playing the Lord's Horns to give all of the praise,
honor and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ, not to any one of our horn
players. We will continue to book as the Lord leads, and we will
continue to book with ministry and worship in mind, not entertainment
or showing off. And when the time is right, we will play loud and high
notes. When the time is right, IF the Lord leads, and IF we have the
funding, we will release one day a high note jazz cd geared for trumpet
players. But at the moment, trumpet players are not the majority of our
natural audience, and being a small ministry on a small budget with
real needs, we must first minister and reach out to our natural
audience , and they want soft mellow flugelhorn southern gospel music
and hymns, and for not, that will be the focus of what we play and
produce.It is the SGM that gets us invited to do concerts.

However, if you feel you need official
sanction, there are also folks who offered you official spots in
non-marching groups who attend such shows.

Again Justin, I do not know why you feel that we at TTOTL are a drum
and bugle corps, we are not. I once played in several corps and I once
directed a small corps for a short time in Ga that never got off the
ground. We have tried unsucsessfully to get a jr drum and bugle corps
style participation based drum line started here in Athens TN, and
after 2 years we have not even held the first organizational meeting,
and I am not sure if there will ever be enough interest to ever see it
started. We are well over an hr away from the two closest drum and
bugle corps, one a jr corps, and one switched over to Senior Corps
/DCA. both of them are currently inactive. If the circumstances ever
work out where I can one day solo for a DCA non marching corps, that
might one day happen, but do not hold your breath, it does not look
that that day will be any time soon, if ever Justin.

TTOTL for financial reasons is in a holding pattern, we are not very
active, and you might call me semi retired. Hopefully things will be
better next year and we will become more active than we are at the
moment. As for not TTOTL is for the most part community based, and we
are not currently performing nationaly like we once were, our
performance dates are 1/8 th what they were pre 911. We are performing
mostly locally where the $$$$$ of touring and or performing is not very
high.
