Re: New horn

O.K., O.K., you win. I think the guy with the 3 thousand dollars should buy
a Getzen. Seriously, I don't know of any orchestral players that use the
horn (you could get accurate information by checking current top orchestral
players websites and looking at their gear) and I have never heard of them
showing up at auditions (at least the guys that win the jobs) or in most
serious trumpet studios. I never meant to slam the horns at all. I was only
trying to help out what seemed to be someone looking for a legit horn and I
was trying to offer what I thought was helpful advice. Be my guest, play on
the Getzen and I am sure you sound great on it (no sarcasm). I am sure their
specs are awesome and much better than what I could put together out of a
garden hose and some pvc...........BTW I just looked up Getzen on the
website you listed and the majority of info it lists contains others
OPINIONS which may or may not be accurate information. Proof is in the
pudding. What did Bud play? Phil Smith? I am not saying that Getzen does not
have the potential to surpass those sounds. When they do, I am sure to buy
one of their horns. Until then.................
