Re: My Impossible Search for a Decent 88-Key Weighted Controller

I'm leaning now towards the Roland RD-700, but I'm still considering the
Yamaha S90ES. The Roland has the funky joystick for combining pitch bend
and modulation wheels, but I can get used to it. I also spent some time
with it today learning how to change patches on external devices.

The price between the two keyboards is nearly identical, therefore it comes
down to which action I prefer and whether or not I need more internal
sounds. Since I already have a Motif ES rack the Yamaha S90ES seems
extraneous.

It's really too bad Studiologic controllers are not reliable because the
price is good and I did like the feel of the SL-880Pro.
