Hi Uncle Bob

I would seriously consider buying a PA first. It is so much more
versatile - you can use it as an amp and or a PA, for just yourself of
others in your band. Plus you reduce your feedback issues. Everyone
I have seen, including myself, that has to play at loud volumes goes
directly through the PA or mics their amp through the PA.
