There is a dance store in the University District in Seattle that sells it

My local supplier of pine resin (and bees wax) no longer stocks the
resin. Can anybody suggest an alternative supply please?
Thanks to Uncle Bob and Jim L for their replies. I should have
explained I am located in the U.K. so that 55 gallon drum of the stuff
from So. California may not be practical!! You're right ........ its
also known as rosin here too best known to fiddlers for their bows.
Its also know as 'collophony' by some people. And I agree that using
these small cubes of rosin, used by the fiddlers, may be the way to go
until I can locate a better source. I had not heard of the ballet
dancers using it though I can see it would be useful in making their
shoes less liable to slip and this is another avenue to explore.
