met speak only a few words of French if any at all. Since Roman and
Domi speak very, very little English, I was wondering how well you could
possibly know them!! Jacques Mornet speaks very little English as well
and any conversation with him, if it is to be serious in most or any
respects will have to be in French. He didn't remember your name when I

Ask Jacques about the accordionist who played at the gala evening at
the Uk
championships and whom he wanted music from. He was under the weather
with a slight intake of alcholol but we shared a meal and a few too may
drinks

Please ask Roman and Domi how well they know me and come back and post
the results on this thread. Roman speaks English, I speak some french
, we have been together on at least 4 seperate occasions at various
festivals we play at.

Yes it is correct and accurate. You are wrong in your assumptions.

Jerome richard, frederic deschamps, mickale vigneu ,
julien gonzales. marielle roy are just a few of the names that spring
to mind who don;t play cavagnolo.

Of course some play other instruments, I never implied that at all. But
of these players also have a CAVAGNOLO. Jacques Mornette does not
promote any particular brand of accordion in the school. However, I am
lead to believe that Frederic Deschamps is sponsored by Hohner and so it
is possible he is a little bit biased as to his preferences.
I would agree that CNIMA is the largest in the world but frederic
deschamps might have something to say about it being the best ;)

This is really strange to me as I didn't know that Frederic Deschamps
ran a school? I know he gives lessons, but that is far from having a
school. At the school of CNIMA you study many different subjects under
different teachers who are proficient in certain areas of their
specialties. You get a complete musical education, not just accordion
lessons.

Furthermore, Frederic Deschamps teaches in Paris which is beyond the
financial means of many, if not most, students. I would like to point
out that there are a number of students at the school that come from
Paris! Why would they come down to St. Sauve from Paris if there were
something better to offer in Paris?>
I do not see so many of Frederic Deschamps doing so well at the various
World Cup type competitions. I believe you were at the competition at
La Bourboule last year and that you know what I am talking about. The
English players didn't do so well either, though I have nothing against
the English and would have loved to see a person from the U.K. or U.S.A.
or anywhere else for that matter, with the winning trophy.

Who teaches the students that are representing france in the coup
mondial and who taught past winners Jerome Richard, Mickael vigneu,
Julien Gonzales etc etc?
Is there politics going on that we don;t know about?

I will repeat that anyone serious about learning good accordion
technique can do no better than attending C.N.I.M.A. in St. Sauve whose
website is found at http://www.cnima.com/.>
They will teach you on C system, B system, or Piano accordion. The
rates are extremely reasonable and this is really the best school of its
kind in the world.>
My purpose in this posting was to tell people about wonderful accordions
and a wonderful school. No matter what you say, my post was truthful.

I wouldn';t argue about the standard of music being taught at CINMA in
the slightest
I was however correcting a statement which I believe to be false (
quote '' They make wonderful accordions that are made completely from
scratch and most of the best French accordion players play them. '')
I have listed in a previous post other top players who don;t play
cavagnolo. Its up to you to decide if they can be classed as top
