Re: Feedback Control

Phase issues between mikes can be an issue -- I'm going to defer doing the detailed physics essay, but because the signals get added together you can get interference phenomena -- but I'm not sure it'd be an issue in this particular case. Among other things, the distance between the mikes is far less than a wavelength so the interference should be minimal,

Yes true, but not with the higher spectrum of the sound.
So some filtering effect similar to the use of equaliser and filters occurs.
Still one can keep in mind if you position your self very near to the treble side of the accordion you get a different sound colour picture as if you are the musician yourself or far away in the room that all is true. And can be easily checked by yourself.

Yes also true to some extent, but Tommy is also correct if we take in account his background and experiences in this field.
There is no way to do it perfect, yes different of cores.
The differences my be considered little again but for menny musicians the count.
Especially if the like to produce recordings and do mixing.
I also think the difference counts in live amplification and if possible i would prefer mikes on a stand in front of the musicians, if amplification has to be used.
Still this is only my opinion, i prefer any way music without amplification in real living surroundings with all the may contribute, to make every occasion something special.

I dont expect an aswer on this, best regards, Johann
