Re: Battle for rebuilt vintage Paulo Soprani.

I am the guy who complained about WD's practices. I see that Kanuck and
a few others have joined in. Before commenting please note that WD and
I have squared our differences via E-mail and while I am not mad at
him, I still maintain that his behavior was not honorable.

Honorable behavior? Here is an example.

3 months ago a guy named Steve, who I think posts here as SNavoyosky
offered to sell me a 96-bass, LMM Soprani for 700 dollars. I didn't
have the scratch at the time.

Friday I called him to finally purchase the box. Steve still had it but
had it promised to a mission as part of a 10-accoridon sale for $1,000.
He could have EASILY slipped in a LMM full size box or something else
and sold the Soprani to me for $700 and come out smelling like a rose.

By WDs explanation of how he was "victimized" if he were in Steve's
shoes, he would have taken care of his old friend, even if it meant
breaking his word to some strangers.

Who would have been the wiser, right? Just like WD's cousin? Nothing
wrong with doing a cousin a favor, right?

Steve is my friend and I would NEVER have thought to ask him to sell me
the accordion and give the missionaries something else. Steve is an
honorable man and he would never do such a thing after he entered into
an agreement and GAVE HIS WORD.

I am not mad at WD, but by textbook definition he acted without honor.
The Ebay auction was not going as planned so he bailed out of it. Now
let me ask you something, why should I or ANY buyer believe that WD is
really sending the accordion to Europe to his cousin?

Am I accusing WD lying to Ebay so he could get a higher price for the
Soprani?? Nope. But who among you cannot say that this is a plausible
scenario? Who among you can honestly say that based on WDs actions on
Ebay, it is more likely than not?

Let me get this scenario straight.....WD loves his cousin, he is going
to visit his cousin, but it took an EBAY scan for his cousin to realize
that WD had this Soprani for sale?

WD, you seem like a nice guy, but you acted without honor.
