Simple .... As with all reputable Internet businesses and Members of The
Data Protection Society we follow the Industry standard practice of replying
to 'unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxx' with 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. This
is bog standard practice followed throughout the industry.
That activates our automatic system which will immediately delete the Email
address given from all lists permanently and send a polite advisory note and
a thank you, plus a line to say we are always here for you should you ever
need our help..
Of course replying with a different Email address will confuse the system
and will not delete that address as it is not on the system [this is the
only reason that addresses are not deleted]. We have a back-up system in
place for this eventuality. Perhaps this is what you have done?
Simply a blank Email suffices or a polite request will action that. Our
automatic systems pick up on most words ....unsubscribe, delete, remove etc.
but will only delete an address already on our system.
As you must realise we have no wish to send to uninterested parties. There
is absolutely no point! That would only cost us time and money.
Our 'One Minute With Dec' has this 'unsubscribe' method prominently
displayed. We do not append these unsubscribe instructions to our normal,
fun short Emails to our Subscribers as we consider them to be 'fun' and
solicited.
We do not advertise or buy lists and all our subscribers have either written
personally or a friend/relation/family member has subscribed them feeling
that it will help their music career. And it does.
