Maybe it's time for "Bring Your Child to RMMP" day? :-) Seriously, RMMP
won't die as long as us old folks still drop by once in a while. I still
get a good laugh at some of the players in here, and whenever I have a
question about drums or drumming, I can ALWAYS get an answer. It's still a
good meeting place and a great resource.
Tell the fat lady to go eat a donut. :-)
Absolutely right on!
If anyone thinks that some of the other forums out there are going to
replace the folks here at RMMP all you need to do is go visit one!
Tons of TOTALLY clueless newbies. Great discussions of how "kewl"
duct tape makes your drums sound and on and on. A couple of days
there and I can't stop making up drummer jokes! Of course, some
people much prefer the sterile environment where they can post without
fearing a reply from Lardo or one of the other resident trolls.
Personally I find the free atmosphere here refreshing and
entertaining! The difference in level of total available advice in
rmmp and other forums is particularly telling. There is an amazing
body of knowledge that visits rmmp on a more or less regular basis.
And posts about how duct tape make your drums sound great are properly
ridiculed. Don't get that in the restrictive forums. Shriners still
rule!
