Adam,
Compared to any other make & model drum set, where would you rank
the 3005's? What quality level do you consider them to be? Thanks.

I'd put Sonor S Class (S Classix), Delites, SQ2's ahead of them in
terms of quality. Same goes with Starclassic Maples, Yamaha Maple
Custom Absolutes, Pearl Masters, etc...
You would want to compare them to Mapex Pro M, PDP maple kits, Taye
Studiomaple, Pearl Sessions, and the like. They are 100% maple
shells, 2.3mm hoops, Sonor T.A.R. mounts, Tune Safe mechanism in the
lugs for more precise tuning. Fantastic and flawless hi-gloss
lacquers that show the woodgrain nicely. Due to the thinner shells
they have nice lows with a sweet attack. The bearing edges are your
typical 45 degrees. They came to me flawless and they are still
flawless. No dings or dents.
Here is a picture of them:

Any little white specs you see in the finish is reflections. Before
I took those pictures I polished the shells. They have never been
gigged either.
I'd say it's a pro kit with a mid level price tag.
Adam
