That seems to be the general consensus. And I have been reading about
the Boss DR-880 drum machine. Apparently it's the cat's meow in terms
of sounds--and would satisfy any MIDI needs I might have.

It has the MIDI, but doesn't accept triggers - so it's not a module per
se.
