Excellent advice.
If you wait until you are happy with your level of development, you
will NEVER get around to finding a teacher. Do it now. You only have
som much time to practice, so find a good teacher and work on getting
some direction to your practices. Use the Tommy Igoe materials in your
lessons--that'd be fine.
I agree, it's never too late to start out on the drums, but the fact
remains that it's harder to learn some of this stuff as one grows
older, and you aren't getting any younger. Do yourself a favor and get
on the fast track with a good teacher.
