You can't derive something from nothing.
Personally I believe in intelligent design.
It makes the most sense to me.

You must not see many people. I look around at humans and I realize they are
solid proof that there was no intelligence that went into *that* design! ;-)

.... and you're back to circular logic. If something cannot be created from
nothing, then there could be no creator and he cannot have created something
from nothing.

.... and, there is nothing to say both answers aren't right - that a creator
set into motion the process by which humans "happened by coincidence" and
rose up from the primordial ooze.
