Picture of Fibes and Gretsch USA Custom shell compared

OK, I took a couple of pictures of my Fibes and Gretsch USA Custom shells
and attached them so a/b them.

Jasper on both? I see a definite color in the plies so does that mean Jasper
Maple and Gum.. or was it poplar?

Inquisitive minds want to know. The Fibes kit is probably late 80's to early
nineties and Gretsch kit is 01-02
