I haven't ever seen that either, but, why not? I doubt it would change
the sound at all, so, if you want to go for the look, seems like
there'd be no problem. I wonder what type of adhesive was used. I
don't think bonding to metal is all that easy.
As long as the metal is correctly cleaned and prepped beforehand I doubt it
would be much of an issue. The wrap seal and lugs would hold it in place
indefinitly even if adhesion wasn't 100% across the surface.
