Dan,
To give you an idea, my shell cost on a solid stave Bubinga or Zebrawood shell
alone would be about 4 times less than Gretsch's cost, I can still sell that
drum with die cast hoops for $650.00. I guess it shows how much the drummer at
the end of line pays for the advertising, benefits etc. in big companies. Mark
my words, the large drum companies are going to have to change or die in the up
and coming years.
