Dan, my unported rezo is tensioned tighter than the batter, but it's not
extreme, probably considered "medium tight." I've tried micing all different
ways and get the best sound from just sticking the mic off-center in front
of the rezo.
Here's a couple of mp3s with an AKG D112 in front of the kick. Demo quality,
so....we really can't discuss ghost notes!
