And isn't it wonderful, Vits, to get to do stuff you might not usually
do!

I've got a great gig coming up in Prague in February - the ballet Elite
Syncopations, based mostly on the music of Scott Joplin and a few of
his contemporaries. It's not in the league of LSOH but is it fun to
play:):)

I've loved the music of Joplin all my life but this is the one chance I
get to play it! No extras - just hi-hat, snare, bass drum, crash,
coconut shells, some brush, mostly sticks (but some quick swaps): 13
players including md directing from the piano. Calliope Rag (James
Scott but finished by someone else) is a delight from start to finish.
Ditto: Ragtime Nightingale (Joseph F. Lamb). Wonderful music.
Actually, it's all wonderful stuff.

My, do I love those Rags. Good luck for the run.

Kind regards,
Alan M. Watkins
