OT: us postal service

Has anyone else had problems like this with these folks? This summer I used
their 'hold for vacation' service. I've used it a few times in the past and
thought it was great, but after my last trip my mail didn't resume. After
two weeks I visited the local office. I was told that as far a they were
concerned I 'was' getting my mail!!! Right! So why wasn't I getting
anything? I may not be that popular, but I should be getting some bills!
A couple of days later I collared a carrier near my place (who was, himself,
only a temporary on the route), and he showed me a note he had that said I
was still 'on vacation'! I visited the office again the following Monday
and got still another denial! From three different employees. What can you
do? Then two days ago, boom, I got a 'huge' pack of old mail delivered as a
bundled package. It was almost too large to fit in my (oversized) box. I'm
still trying to dig out from under the back log of bills and correspondence
and had lapsed. I'm very lucky that none of my insurance premiums came due
during that time period. Maybe they have grounds for going postal -- on
themselves. >:(
