Re: Band Longevity

I was thinking about this the other day. I haven't stayed in any one
band for more than 2 years, after almost 25 years as a gigging player.
Either the band falls apart or has no gigs or I get bored quickly and 2
years is about it and I move on. There has also been a few bands that
had too many lunatics either in the band or married to a band member,
which is something I run and hide from. I don't want no soap operas,
just music. The only exception has been an 18 piece big band, which was
more of a rehearsal band, which I stayed about 5 years. That was a good
bunch of players and the charts were challenging to say the least.
