Another audition

Hey guys:
I've been auditoning for different groups around the area so I can
fill up my gig calander with groups that work around each other. So
far so good and I've found two groups that play different styles of
music and are in town. The trio today was playing CCR, Beatles and
more current stuff that I wasn't familiar with, but it was great fun.
I passed audition and they sent CDs home with me and will try
booking some gigs again. Last week I auditioned with a decent country
group and have been listening to their study CDs in my truck. Nothing
like a change of pace to keep the licks alive! I was so glad to pull
the drum kit out of the garage and play with some live musicians. I've
been adjusting my double kick pedals and noticed that my main pedal is
too loose, but the slave pedal is just right! Time to tighten the
spring up on one and not the other as I have some difficulty getting
doubles out of my right foot the way it's set now.
Different room acoustics really make a differrence. My snare sound
so much better and the kit was not as harsh sounding thanks to carpet
on the floor and soft surfaces around the room. I hate playing on
hardwood floors and brick walled surfaces. Anway....enough rambling!

Regards,
Chaz
