Not at all. JT's band back then was a tight group of players and they
weren't just "back up men". They hung with JT for a long while.
Watchel and Kootch was mainstay guitarists. Sklar and Kunkel were
great rockin' support men on bass and drums.

The other thing is that Steamroller Blues changed for each tour. He
likely just asked that year for input for something to woo the crowd
and got a Zep mention. I have a version on tape with no references
(Zep or anyone else), but it has an extended solos, including
high-gain slide solos.

You're probably not going to see this in a contemporary show, but in
the 70s and 80s, his shows could rock pretty well. The benefit concert
and no-nuke concert footage doesn't do it justice.
