Yes,but I'm finding JB useful, although I'm not spending enough time there
to really justify the money.
I suppose much of the stuff is things that I really ought to figure out for
myself, but I tend to think "I won't use this chord (for example major 7th
with the 7th on the 3rd string and the root on the second)" so I don't
bother practicing it but JB says it's sounds horrible but shut up and learn
it anyway to complete the set. Which is probably the right thing to do.
Also, I _still_, 40 years later, still think in 5ths more than 4ths (thanks
to 20 years of violin), and going through the circle by fourths with
everything is helping.
But to get back to the spam, it reminds me that I need to practice that
stuff; I really like JB's melodic sensibility and approach, and think it'll
help my playing. But life here is frantic: work, bowling, playing out,
photography, and now an ill (but recovering) parent means that I need to be
reminded.
So, when I say thanks for the spam, I really mean that.
