Guy: I saw this recently. I'm not sure transcription is supposed to be
easier. Transcription is a way to improve your listening skills, notation
skills, theoretical insights, improvisational vocabulary and general
musicianship. It would only have the desired effect if the actual work was
done by the student himself.

Still, this is an interesting advance in music software. I'm sure some
worthwhile applications will emerge. I'm dubious as to the pedagogical
implications. .....joe
