Oops. I forgot. I didn't know how to play yet when I (20 years old) was studying with him (19 years old), and he was on tour with Gary Burton.

but the rest
doesn't sound like him to me, it has a more traditional groove. As others
said, the comping is super.

In Toronto we have to deal with Ed and Lenny and Lorne.
If you can't comp you're looked down on, and rightly so IMO.

I was using that 175 that I bought about 9 months ago, through my Pearce
G2r.
The way I played required the engineer to use some compression on my
tracks, a bit too much I'm afraid. The tone reminds me a little of Jim
Hall's sound on that CTI record he did, Concierto.
