Any opinions on the Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue amps? I know they
don't do the Blackface clean, but is their clean warm, thick and
organic? I'm debating about buying a used one. I imagine the headroom
isn't all that great, but I might not need it since I'm not gigging
much at the moment and any upcoming gigs should be small-medium. I'm a
sucker for anything tweed...I suppose I could just buy a tweed cabinet
for my Jazzmaster Ultralight head.

Perhaps FDR-1 would be a cheaper way to deal with TAS.

I have an FDR-1 and like it a lot. I agree with people who say it
doesn't sound at all like a real FDR - it couldn't, just by the laws
of physics - but clean it warms the signal slightly, you can roughen
up the tone with as much gain as you like, the reverb is good, and,
for those Bo gigs you can lay on lashings of vibrato. To stick in
front of an SS amp would make sense, but I know a total of zip all
about amps, so take my comments with a generous grain of salt.

Max,

I think you posted a link of you using the FDR-1 pedal. I recall
liking it a lot. Could you post it again? And/or anything new you've
recorded with the pedal? I think I want one.
