Carlos should have taken some time to practice the tune. He is mostly

at the risk of being pounded by some I still feel compelled to say that
Carlos is not a jazz guitarist...not really on GB's level.....
I think that has kinda been implied around these parts on many occasion...
You do not have to be a jazz guitarist - he could have done his own
latin-pentatonic-singin Mesa Boogie stuff just fine. I do not expect
Santana
to play jazz. But it seems he had very little clue how to structure
the solo on
that piece - as if he did not prepare himself. And I am not dissing
Carlos -
I like his music. Just on that particular piece - he cannot seem to
find his angle.
