if you're using some sort of newsreader or mail program, you should be able
to set the identity as whatever you want. In outlook express, for example,
it's under the tools menu, accounts, properties, general tab. you can put
whatever you'd like in the name and e-mail address.

I have been getting a bunch of spam investor type e mail for oil stocks. I
can only think they get my e mail from this newsgroup. I never visit any
investor type web sites how do you hid your e mail address in the reply to
avoid this. I generally like to have my e mail show as I get replies all
the
time from people I need they simply hit reply.
Can you set your e mail up so when you post in this group they cannot get
your real address to send you garbage. This has really gotten bad and it
only happens when I make a post on this group otherwise I only surf around
for material I need for work ( theology and homiletics). Can anyone walk
me
through a way to set a dummy return e mail for posting on newsgroups.
