Here are some excerpts from my review just finished for JJG:
Same great sound as the SL-R with the following changes:
Power output:
250W 8ohm
400W 4ohm
500W 2ohm
New powder coated aluminum chassis
Slanted control panel
White push buttons replace hard to see black buttons.
Chorus, Delay and Flanger added to reverb effects
New gig bag with all-metal hardware and less coarse fabric
2 combo inputs XLR & ¼", both with phantom power
Stereo preamp operation, for instance, allowing splitting of a vocal and
instrument, but requiring either a separate power amp or powered slave cab
Treble control range increased to +-25dB from +-15dB increase tonal
flexibility much.
Brite control dropped
Power cable gets locking a Neutrik Speakon connector on the amp end
Sound is great, just like the SL-R. Did I mention the power? If 500W isn't
enough, you can order the 1,000W Focus.
Read the may issue of JJG for the full review.
