I never thought I was much good at this until I started playing with
this sax player fairly regularly, and when we got to where he would
play a lick and I would "copy" or answer it, then I realized that maybe
I can, at times, play what I think; it can be responding to what you
hear as well as your own preconcieved thoughts, can't it?
