As to Bill Evans/McPartland, all I can say is you lucky bums--ONE
download. 20 cents! I am happy to hip you to it, but I actually
bought the CD for like $12.99 before I found it was on emusic.
It has many tracks and they could easily have sold them separately. It
has some of Evans neatest playing, with his explanation of what he's
doing, and nice duets with Marian M, who of course, asks great
questions of one of her favorite players. I actually remember that
show when it was first broadcast, which shows what an old geazer I am.
BTW, I am seeing Holdsworth in May at IMAC on LI with Chad Wackerman
and possibly Jimmy Johnson. A very intimate setting if it's convenient.
