I'll back off the reverb, definitely. Try it almost dry and go from there.

Also, I am going to record these again from scratch to try and get the clams
out of there... So I'll try to set up some kind of click to work on the
timing. Both pieces have measures of odd meter sprinkled in, so I'm not
great at counting anyway. But, yeah, Maybelle is kind of a mess timing wise
and derry Aire is kind of this free flowing timing deal where you have to be
very careful to keep it moving at the right pace, it's easy to allow it to
drag. I think I need to play that another 5 bpm faster.

what do you have to trade, Tom?

I am a big fan of Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Buster B. and other just about
any of the other Fingerstyle greats. Also, I just like timeless classic-type
pieces along these lines that are beautiful and worth the efforts of putting
months of your life into perfecting them. Something anyone would hear and
just say, "damn." Because I plan to play these tunes the rest of my life...
since it was such a bitch to learn them...lol!

I am going to post a recording my version of Jerry's Breakdown here,
hopefully in the next couple of days if all goes well in the recording
process.

But let me know and I'll send you the URL of the tab for this.
