Hasn't this come up already, and I ignored it , or wasn't here?.These are my thoughts.
The hand-held device that helps the hand hold the strings down,
instead of just learning to handle the instrument ?...

What do we think of this ?. (and be nice; the guy is married to
someone I've been making copper parts for for years , and they
visited my shop recently )
gotta run up to the big city on errands today---->

1. I think the guy and the device are clever.
2. I think he's a reasonable marketer and may actually sell those rubberized
"slides".
3. It goes against the adage that is paraphrased to say that for something
to have value, it needs to be worked for. My guess is that anyone that
learns to "play" the guitar in that way will likely give up on it soon.
4. I am probably missing something because I haven't thought it through, but
I'm curious as to how he gets minor chords out of that system? I mean, I
understand that a C Major chord, for example, is also a partial Am7 chord
(less the root), etc., but I think the voicings would sound lousy. What's
the trick?
I wish him luck with the idea.
